A freestanding residential tower in Brooklyn, designed by SO–IL and developed by TANKHOUSE, is defined by its perforated metal façade, shifting in color and tone throughout the day as it reflects changing light. The brand builds directly from this material condition. The system translates variation, reflection, and verticality into a cohesive visual language. A responsive palette echoes the building’s relationship to light, while compositions reinforce its presence within the skyline. Positioned between neighborhoods, the project also looks outward, highlighting its broader context. This is supported by a photographic collaboration with Brooklyn-based Zack DeZon, whose light-driven, atmospheric work captures both the building and its surroundings with a consistent visual sensibility.

The visual language translates this architectural character into a dynamic brand system. Staggered typographic compositions echo the building’s massing, while a palette of pink and green draws from its façade and surrounding environment. Hand-drawn illustrations introduce a more informal, communal tone, extending into a newspaper-format piece that captures the broader context of the project, from architecture and interiors to neighborhood life. Within the Edge-on-Hudson community, a collection of townhomes draws on the character of the Hudson River Valley, where craft, nature, and proximity to the city converge. The brand reflects a slower, more intentional way of living rooted in place. The visual language references regional artisan traditions through a stencil-inspired wordmark, custom illustrations, including a hand-drawn map, and a stamp device that signals authorship and quality. A collaboration with Kristin Osterberg, whose work has been exhibited at The Painting Center and across the Hudson Valley, introduces a more expressive, place-driven dimension. Together, these elements create a system that feels both handcrafted and enduring.

Rising over 500 feet on the Upper East Side, 180 East 88th Street brings together traditional craft and contemporary design in a residential tower developed by DDG. The brand balances prewar architectural references with a distinctly modern presence. The brand and sales gallery experience extend this duality through a series of immersive interventions developed in collaboration with artists and makers. Central to the project is a custom diorama of Central Park, transforming the gallery into a constructed landscape that blurs the line between reality and illusion. Sculptural stucco work reinterprets historic ornament through a more expressive lens, while the building’s scale and ceiling heights are emphasized to create a sense of openness and possibility.

THE PERRIE repositions a former hotel in Turtle Bay as a residential offering rooted in the neighborhood’s architectural history and cultural character. The brand situates the building within a broader New York narrative. Drawing from turn-of-the-century lithographs and archival etchings of Turtle Bay, the visual language is reinterpreted through a vibrant palette and layered across imagery. A monogram anchors the building to its context, while a bold geometric wordmark introduces a contemporary counterpoint. This extends through a series of “Midtown Moments,” including a short film by Brooklyn-based filmmaker Owen Kibby, capturing a more intimate and nostalgic view of the area.

Rooted in Swiss craftsmanship and a deep respect for material, the brand reflects a balance between heritage and innovation. Recent work focuses on refining the identity for a contemporary audience while preserving its core values of quality, precision, and trust. A new digital platform organizes an extensive product offering into a more structured, library-like system, allowing materials to be explored intuitively. This direction is supported by a collaboration with writer and photographer Blake Shorter, whose work captures the people, processes, and environments behind the brand through a more personal, narrative lens.

Greenwich West draws on French industrial design and the character of its surrounding neighborhoods to reinterpret the classic New York loft. The project balances downtown energy with a more refined residential sensibility. The brand centers on the building’s windows as a defining architectural element. In collaboration with artist Aaron Zulpo, his Window Stories series was extended to depict imagined moments from within the building, using the neighborhood and its residents as a point of reference. These works formed the basis of a broader campaign spanning print, outdoor, and digital formats, including a large-scale publication and installations throughout downtown Manhattan.
